AHTD To Hold Public Hearing on Highway 67

LITTLE ROCK (6-10)

The Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) will conduct an open forum public hearing in North Little Rock to discuss plans for improvements to the Highway 67 corridor from McCain Boulevard to Redmond Road, according to AHTD Director Dan Flowers.

The public hearing will be held Thursday, June 27, 2002, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. in the Great Hall of the Apostolic Church, 4314 Landers Road in North Little Rock.

The project consists of adding an additional travel lane in each direction on Highway 67, constructing five new crossover/turnarounds, reconstructing the Kiehl Avenue overpass, modifying on- and off-ramps and converting frontage roads to one-way operation.

The open forum format will allow interested citizens the opportunity to attend the hearing anytime between the hours of 4:00 and 7:00 p.m.  Personnel will be on hand during those hours to explain the proposed modifications, answer questions and take oral or written comments about the project.
