AHTD To hold Public Involvement Session in Mountain Home

LITTLE ROCK (7-10) 

    The Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) will conduct a public involvement session to discuss the proposed widening of Highway 62 in Baxter County according to AHTD Director Dan Flowers.

    The informal session will be held Thursday, July 18, 2002, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall of the Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 48 Carnation Drive (corner of Highway 62 and Wescott Drive, one mile east of the Bypass) in Mountain Home.  

    The proposed project consists of widening a four-mile section of Highway 62 from two to four lanes from the Bypass eastward to Highway 101.

    The public is invited to visit anytime during the scheduled hours to view exhibits and offer comments.  Preliminary plans with the conceptual design and right-of-way will be shown.
