AHTD TO HOLD PUBLIC INVOLVEMENT SESSION IN LOCKESBURG


LITTLE ROCK (8-15

     The Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) will conduct a public involvement session in Lockesburg to discuss proposed improvements to Highway 71, according to AHTD Director Dan Flowers.

     The informal session will be held Thursday, August 29, 2002, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the auditorium at Lockesburg High School located at 120 Darter Circle in Lockesburg.    

     The proposed improvements include the addition of passing lanes to four selected sections of Highway 71 beginning near Falls Chapel and extending north to Rock Hill.

     The public is invited to visit anytime during the scheduled hours to view exhibits and offer comments.  Conceptual plans will be displayed.
