RAMP IMPROVEMENTS ON HIGHWAY 67/167

Contractors for the Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) will close the right lane on Northbound Highway 67/167 from mile marker 5 to 8, just north of Kiel Avenue, according to an AHTD spokesman. Weather permitting, work will be between midnight and noon each day beginning on Wednesday, September 4 and extending through Friday, September 6.

The purpose of the work, in conjunction with the improvements to 67/167, is to pave the interchange connecting to the nearly complete Highway 440 extension.  “The paving of this interchange will expedite the completion of the new Northbelt Freeway,” stated Dan Flowers, Director of Highways.

Motorists should allow extra travel time during this construction.  As always, motorists are urged to “Think Ahead”, “Buckle-up” and exercise caution when approaching and traveling through work zones.
