     Planned improvements to Highway 7 in Hot Springs are scheduled to begin next week, according to the Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department.

     Crews will be resurfacing 3.6 miles of Highway 7 (Central Avenue) in the City of Hot Springs from Buena Vista Drive to Ouachita Avenue.  Work will begin on Monday, November 18 starting on the south end of the project at Buena Vista Drive and proceeding northward. 

     The improvements will be accomplished during daytime hours.  At least one lane in each direction will remain open, however; motorists are urged to use alternate routes while construction activities are ongoing.

     As always, motorists are urged to “Think Ahead,” “Buckle Up” and exercise caution when approaching and traveling through highway work zones.
