     The Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) will hold a Public Involvement Session in Bella Vista to discuss the proposed Bella Vista Bypass, according to AHTD Director Dan Flowers.

     The purpose of the meeting is to discuss the prospect of using toll financing for the proposed Bella Vista Bypass project.  The AHTD and the Missouri Department of Transportation are planning to construct a new, Interstate-type highway from Bella Vista to Pineville.      

     The informal session will be held Tuesday, December 3, 2002, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Riordan Hall, located at the intersection of Riordan Road & Kingsdale Lane in Bella Vista.  Brief presentations by the Department’s consultant at 5:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. will give an overview of the project.    

     The public is invited to visit anytime during the scheduled hours to view displays, ask questions and offer comments.
