Notice to MediaImprovement to Highways in Northwest Arkansas during Thanksgiving holiday LITTLE ROCK (11-22) The following lane closures are scheduled from
Monday, November 25, through Wednesday, November 27 in Fayetteville, Springdale
and Greenland. These lane closures will allow the Department's contractor to
safely continue with work involving the curbs and sidewalks adjacent to the
driving surfaces of Hwys. 71B, 265, and 16.
The restrictions and lane closures, where implemented, are generally
expected to be in place between the hours of 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. ·
Traffic
using Hwy 265 in Fayetteville will have the southbound lane
restricted at various locations (not continuous) from Township Rd. to Kantz Rd. ·
Also,
traffic using Hwy 16 in Fayetteville will be restricted to one lane eastbound
& westbound with the outside lane closed at various locations
(not continuous) from the Huntsville Rd. intersection to the Razorback Rd
intersection. ·
Also,
traffic using Hwy 71B will be restricted to one lane southbound, with the
outside lane closed at various locations (not continuous) from Rock St. in Fayetteville
to Smith St. in Greenland. ·
Traffic
using Hwy 71B in Springdale will be restricted to one lane northbound
& southbound, with the outside lane closed at various locations (not
continuous) from Backus Ave. to Hwy 412 East (East Robinson Avenue). ·
Also,
traffic using Hwy 265 in Springdale will be restricted to one lane northbound
& southbound, with the outside lane closed at various locations (not
continuous) from Hwy 412 East (East Robinson Avenue) intersection to Emma
Avenue. Motorists are urged to use care and think ahead when
traveling through the work zone. They
should remember to Merge Left Early as
they approach the work zone; to Obey the
Posted Speed Limits and Other Regulatory Signing; to Maintain a Steady Speed; to Leave
Room between them and other vehicles; to Be Aware of Road Conditions in front of them; and to Anticipate
the Unexpected Need to Stop or Reduce Speed Substantially. #
