AHTD To Hold Public Hearing In McGehee


LITTLE ROCK (12-3)

     The Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) will conduct a public hearing in McGehee to discuss plans for proposed Interstate 69 and the Great River Bridge, according to AHTD Director Dan Flowers.

     The hearing will be held Wednesday, December 11, 2002, from 4:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the Great Room of the McGehee Municipal Building, 901 Highway 278 in McGehee.

     The purpose of the meeting is to discuss the proposed design of the Great River Bridge and

I-69 linking Highway 65 near McGehee in Arkansas with Highway 1 near Benoit, Mississippi, and crossing the Mississippi River just north of Arkansas City.      

     The public is invited to visit anytime during the scheduled hours to view displays, ask questions and offer comments.
