PUBLIC INVOLVEMENT SESSION SCHEDULED IN FOUNTAIN LAKE

LITTLE ROCK (4-16)

The Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) will hold a Public Involvement Session in Fountain Lake to discuss plans for a new highway in the area, according to AHTD Director Dan Flowers.

The informal session will be held Tuesday, April 29, 2003, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Fountain Lake High School, 4207 Park Avenue, in Fountain Lake.

Future plans call for the construction of a four-lane, divided highway on new location that will be an extension of the Martin Luther King Expressway.  The highway will extend from Highway 70 East, near Morning Star, northward to Highway 7 North near Fountain Lake.

The public is invited to visit anytime during the scheduled hours to view displays, ask questions and offer comments.
