AHTD TO HOLD PUBLIC INVOLVEMENT SESSION IN VILONIA

LITTLE ROCK (5-9)

The Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) will hold a Public Involvement Session in Vilonia to discuss plans for improvements to Highway 64, according to AHTD Director Dan Flowers.

The informal session will be held Thursday, May 22, 2003, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the Vilonia High School Cafeteria, 1164 Main Street, in Vilonia.

The proposed project calls for improving approximately 8.5-miles of Highway 64, from the community of Hamlet to just east of Vilonia.   Information on southern bypass alternatives and widening to four lanes on the existing alignment of Highway 64 will be available.

The public is invited to visit anytime during the scheduled hours to view displays of the southern bypass alternatives, ask questions and offer comments.
