LITTLE ROCK (5-16) 

An inspection of the Interstate 440 Arkansas River Bridge in central Arkansas will necessitate lane closures next week, according to Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department officials.

Inspection crews working on the bridge will require the following lane closures, weather permitting:

          May 20, 2003                                  Tuesday 

9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.                                    Westbound outside lane closed.

May 21, 2003                                   Wednesday

 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.                                   Eastbound outside lane closed.

 As always, motorists are urged to “Think Ahead,” “Buckle Up” and exercise caution when

approaching and traveling through highway work zones.
