BRIDGE INSPECTION SCHEDULED FOR INTERSTATE 30 RIVER BRIDGE

LITTLE ROCK (6-2)

An inspection of the Interstate 30 Arkansas River Bridge in central Arkansas will necessitate lane       closures this weekend, according to Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department officials.

Inspection crews working on the bridge will require the following lane closures, weather permitting:

            June 8, 2003                 Sunday

6:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.            Work will begin in the eastbound lands from Little Rock toward North Little Rock.  Once the eastbound direction is complete, crews will move to the westbound lanes and work back towards Little Rock.  The outside lane will be closed to traffic during inspection.

As always, motorists are urged to “Think Ahead,” “Buckle Up” and exercise caution when

approaching and traveling through highway work zones.
