AHTD TO HOLD PUBLIC INVOLVEMENT SESSION IN COLUMBUS

LITTLE ROCK (9-5) 

   The Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) will hold a Public Involvement Session in Columbus to discuss proposed plans for improvements to Highway 73, according to AHTD Director Dan Flowers.

     The informal session will be held Thursday, September 18, 2003, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Columbus Volunteer Fire Department/Community Center on Highway 73 in Columbus.

     Plans call for minor widening on five miles of Highway 73 extending from Columbus westward to Highway 355, and for resurfacing through Columbus.

     The public is invited to visit anytime during the scheduled hours to view displays, ask questions and offer comments.
