LITTLE ROCK (9-9) 

      The Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) will hold a Public Hearing in Sonora to discuss proposed plans for improvements to Highway 412, according to AHTD Director Dan Flowers.

     The informal session will be held Tuesday, September 23, 2003, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Sonora Baptist Church, 17330 East Highway 412, in Sonora.

     Plans call for widening four miles of Highway 412 to four lanes with a grass median, extending from Nob Hill eastward to the Madison County line.

     The public is invited to visit anytime during the scheduled hours to view displays, ask questions and offer comments.
