Ramp Improvements Planned on I-540 in Fort Smith

LITTLE ROCK (09-26) 

The Contractor has advised the Arkansas Highway and Transportation Department of the following ramp closures associated with work along Interstate 540 in Fort Smith, scheduled for the evenings of September 29 and 30.

 

SOUTHBOUND OFF-RAMP— EXIT 11 (Hwy 255 Interchange)(Zero Street)

 

·   On Monday, September 29, the southbound off ramp at the Hwy 255 (Zero Street) Interchange [Exit 11] will be closed at 6:00 p.m. in the evening and will be reopened by 6:00 a.m. on the following morning.

 
SOUTHBOUND OFF-RAMP—EXIT 12 (US Hwy 71 Interchange)

 

·         On Tuesday, September 30, the southbound off ramp at the Hwy 71 Interchange [Exit 12] will be closed at 6:00 p.m. in the evening and will be reopened by 6:00 a.m. on the following morning. 

 

These closures are necessary to allow the contractor to perform work on the ramp pavement.  Motorists are urged to plan alternate routes during these time periods.

 

Adjustment of the time and date of the ramp closures may be required due to weather or other unforeseen conditions.
