AHTD TO HOLD PUBLIC INVOLVEMENT SESSION IN SHERWOOD LITTLE ROCK (9-25) The Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) will hold a Public Involvement Session in Sherwood to discuss proposed plans for the North Belt Freeway, according to AHTD Director Dan Flowers.
The informal session will be held Thursday, October 2, 2003, from 4:30
p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in the auditorium at Sylvan Hills High School, 484 Bear Paw
Road, in Sherwood.
Plans call for extending the North Belt freeway from the interchange at
Highway 440 and Highway 67/167 in Sherwood, westward to the Interstate 430/40
interchange at Crystal Hill. The
roadway will be designed as a four-lane, divided highway. The public is invited to visit anytime during the scheduled hours to view displays, ask questions and offer comments. A presentation on the North Belt Freeway Study will be made each hour at 4:30, 5:30 and 6:30 p.m.
