AHTD TO HOLD PUBLIC INVOLVEMENT SESSION IN MONTICELLO

LITTLE ROCK (10-7) 

   The Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) will hold a Public Involvement Session in Monticello to discuss proposed plans for a northern connector north of Monticello, according to AHTD Director Dan Flowers.

     The informal session will be held Thursday, October 16, 2003, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Monticello Economic Development Center, 211 W. Gaines, in Monticello.

     Plans call for constructing a 1.5 mile roadway on a new location to connect Highway 35 West and Highway 83 just north of Monticello.

     The public is invited to visit anytime during the scheduled hours to view displays, ask questions and offer comments.
