AHTD TO HOLD PUBLIC INVOLVEMENT SESSION IN GARFIELD

LITTLE ROCK (7-15)     

     The Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) will hold a Public Involvement Session in Garfield to discuss plans for improvements to Highway 62, according to AHTD Director Dan Flowers.

    The informal session will be held Thursday, July 29, 2004, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church Fellowship Hall, 17784 Marshall, in Garfield.

     Plans call for making improvements to 6.5 miles of Highway 62, beginning in Garfield and continuing southward to Avoca.     

     The public is invited to visit anytime during the scheduled hours to view displays, ask questions and offer comments
