WEEKLY I-540 WORK SCHEDULE FOR BENTON COUNTY

LITTLE ROCK (07-16)      

     A contractor for the Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department  (AHTD) will be working along Interstate 540 in the Lowell/Rogers/Bentonville area.  These improvements will require the following lane closures.

Northbound

     From Monday, July 19, through Tuesday, July 20, Interstate 540 traffic will be restricted to one lane northbound between the off-ramp and the on-ramp at Highway 94 Interchange (Exit 83). Also, from Monday, July 19, through Sunday, July 25, temporary moving lane closures will be utilized at various locations between Goad Springs Road and Highway 102 Interchange (Exit 86).

Southbound

     From Monday, July 19, through Tuesday, July 20, Interstate 540 traffic will be restricted to one lane southbound from just south of the on-ramp for the Pleasant Grove Road Interchange (Exit 81) to Goad Springs Road. Also, from Monday, July 19, through Sunday, July 25, temporary moving lane closures will be utilized at various locations between Highway 102 Interchange (Exit 86) and Goad Springs Road.

     All lane closures will remain in place overnight each night. Adjustment of the times of any announced lane closures may become necessary due to weather or other unforeseen conditions. 

     The estimated completion date for this project early August.  Motorists are reminded to stay alert, avoid distractions and follow all signs and speed limits in the work zone with doubled fines occurring for all moving violations when workers are present.
