The Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) will hold a Public Involvement Session in Texarkana to discuss plans for improvements to two Interstate 30 interchanges in the Texarkana area, according to AHTD Director Dan Flowers.

    The informal session will be held Tuesday, August 3, 2004, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the First Assembly of God Church, 4416 Jefferson Avenue, in Texarkana.

     Plans call for making improvements to the Interstate 30 interchanges at Jefferson Avenue and Highway 245 in Texarkana.  Among the possible improvements being discussed are widening Jefferson Avenue and Highway 245 where they intersect with Interstate 30 and adding traffic signals.       

     The public is invited to visit anytime during the scheduled hours to view displays, ask questions and offer comments.
