Crews working on Highway 62 in Benton County will require lane closures, according to Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department officials.

   Crews will be sealing lanes on Highway 62 beginning Monday, July 26 through Tuesday,

August 3, excluding Friday, Saturday and Sunday, weather permitting. Sealing includes applying liquid asphalt and covering it with small aggregate.  The work will include sealing both directions of highway and will extend from the Pea Ridge Military Park to Gateway, a distance of 7.4 miles.

    One travel lane will remain open at all times during the project.  Some loose aggregate may remain on the roadway until the final sweeping.  Signage will be in place to remind motorists of lowered speed limits and to advise of road conditions. Motorists are urged to use caution, drive slowly and consider using an alternate route.
