AHTD TO HOLD PUBLIC INVOLVEMENT SESSION IN ANTOINE

LITTLE ROCK (7-29)

The Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) will hold a Public Involvement Session in Antoine to discuss plans for improvements to Highway 26, according to AHTD Director Dan Flowers.

The informal session will be held Thursday, August 5, 2004, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Antoine Community Center, 41 Main Street in Antoine.

Plans call for widening the existing lanes on Highway 26 to a width of 12 feet with shoulders measuring eight feet in width.  The rehabilitation would extend from the Pike County line at Antoine, eastward for five miles.

The public is invited to visit anytime during the scheduled hours to view displays, ask questions and offer comments.
