The Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) will have crews working on Highway 127 in Benton County this week.  According to AHTD officials the improvements being made will require the following lane closures.

     Crews will be sealing lanes on Highway 127 beginning Tuesday, August 3 through Thursday,

August 5, excluding Friday, Saturday and Sunday, weather permitting. Sealing includes applying liquid asphalt and covering it with small aggregate.  The work will include sealing 5.8 miles of the highway in both directions and will extend from the U.S. 62 Junction to Beaver Lake State Park.

     One travel lane will remain open at all times during the project.  Some loose aggregate may remain on the roadway until the final sweeping.  Signage will be in place to remind motorists of lowered speed limits and to advise of road conditions. Motorists are urged to use caution, drive slowly and consider using an alternate route.
