The Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) will hold a Public Involvement Session in Marion to discuss plans for improvements to Highway 77, according to AHTD Director Dan Flowers.

    The informal session will be held Tuesday, August 31, 2004, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church, 2137 Highway 77, in Marion.

     Plans call for widening Highway 77 to five lanes, extending from Highway 64 southward for 1.3 miles.        

     The public is invited to visit anytime during the scheduled hours to view displays, ask questions and offer comments.
