AHTD TO HOLD PUBLIC INVOLVEMENT SESSION IN HOT SPRINGS

LITTLE ROCK (8-25)     

     The Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) will hold a Public Involvement Session in Hot Springs to discuss plans for improvements to Highway 128 (Carpenter Dam Road), according to AHTD Director Dan Flowers.

    The informal session will be held Tuesday, August 31, 2004, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Lakeside High School cafeteria, 2837 Malvern Avenue, in Hot Springs.

     Plans call for reconstructing 1.2 miles of Highway 128 on a new location extending from the Ouachita River northward.       

     The public is invited to visit anytime during the scheduled hours to view displays, ask questions and offer comments.
