AHTD TO HOLD PUBLIC INVOLVEMENT SESSION IN GOULD LITTLE ROCK (9-2)
The Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) will hold a
Public Involvement Session in Gould to discuss plans for improvements to Highway
65, according to AHTD Director Dan Flowers.
The informal session will be held Thursday, September 9, 2004, from 4:00
p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Gould Elementary School cafeteria, 1st and
Oak Streets, in Gould.
Plans call for widening two sections of Highway 65 to four lanes in
Lincoln and Desha counties. The
first segment would be 8.3 miles and extend from south Grady southward to north
Gould. The second segment would be 7.4 miles and extend from north
Gould southward to Highway 159.
The public is invited to visit anytime during the scheduled hours to view
displays, ask questions and offer comments.
