I-40 RAMP CLOSURES AT BURNS PARK IN NORTH LITTLE ROCK LITTLE ROCK (8-30) Contractors working on the rehabilitation of Interstate 40 in North Little Rock will require intermittent closures of westbound I-40 on and off-ramps at the Burns Park interchange on Wednesday morning for paving and ramp improvements. The temporary closures are scheduled to begin at 6 a.m. on Wednesday, September 1st for 15 minute intervals until the ramp improvements are complete which may take several hours. Motorists
traveling westbound on I-40 will not be able to exit at the Burns Park
interchange during the 15 minute intervals while the ramp is closed.
The Burns Park area may be accessed via the Levy interchange and Hwy.
365, or motorists may turn around at the Crystal Hill interchange and take the
Burns Park exit ramp from I-40 eastbound.
For access to I-40 westbound during the on-ramp closure period, motorists
may initially travel to I-40 eastbound and turn around at the Levy interchange
in order to access I-40 westbound. Motorists
are encouraged to consider alternate routes if possible and follow all roadway
signage and speed limits.
