The Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) will hold a Public Involvement Session in Monticello to discuss plans for constructing a highway to connect Highways 35 West, 425 and 83 just north of Monticello, according to AHTD Director Dan Flowers.

    The informal session will be held Tuesday, September 16, 2004, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Monticello Economic Development Center, 211 W. Gains, in Monticello.

     Plans call for constructing a 1.5-mile highway on new location connecting Highway 35 West and Highway 425, and constructing a 1.2-mile highway on new location connecting Highway 425 and Highway 83.     

     The public is invited to visit anytime during the scheduled hours to view displays, ask questions and offer comments.
