AHTD TO HOLD PUBLIC INVOLVEMENT SESSION IN FAYETTEVILLE LITTLE ROCK (9-13)
The Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) will hold two
Public Involvement Sessions in Fayetteville to discuss plans for improvements to
Highways 16 and 180, according to AHTD officials.
The first informal session will feature plans for Highway 16 and will be
held Monday, September 20, 2004, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Covenant
Church, 4511 West Wedington Drive, in Fayetteville.
Plans call for widening 1.7 miles of Highway 16 in Fayetteville to five
lanes, extending from Meadowlands Drive to Double Springs Road.
A second meeting will feature plans for Highway 180 and will be held
Tuesday, September 21, 2004, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Washington Regional
Medical Center, 3215 N. Hills Boulevard, in Fayetteville.
Plans call for widening Highway 180 (Gregg Avenue in Fayetteville) to
four lanes with left turn lanes at selected intersections.
The project will extend from Township Road to Futrall Drive.
The public is invited to visit the meetings anytime during the scheduled
hours to view displays, ask questions and offer comments.
