PUBLIC INVOLVEMENT SESSION IN BATESVILLE


LITTLE ROCK (09-13)     

The Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) will hold a Public Involvement Session in Batesville to discuss plans for widening Highway 69 in the city of Batesville, according to AHTD officials.

    The informal session will be held Thursday, September 23, 2004, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the First Church of the Nazarene, 1611 East Harrison Street, in Batesville.

     Plans call for widening existing Highway 69 to five lanes in order to include a continuous left turn lane.  The project will extend from Highway 167 eastward to Highway 394.       

     The public is invited to visit anytime during the scheduled hours to view displays, ask questions and offer comments.
