AHTD TO HOLD PUBLIC INVOLVEMENT SESSION IN RUSSELLVILLE


    LITTLE ROCK (10-7) – The Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) will hold a Public Involvement Session in Russellville to discuss plans for improvements to Highway 326 (Weir Road), according to AHTD officials.

    The informal session will be held Thursday, October 14, 2004, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Pope County Senior Activity Center, 1010 N. Rochester Avenue, in Russellville.

     Plans call for widening Highway 326 (Weir Road) to five lanes, extending from Highway 64 (East Main) northward to the vicinity of Interstate 40.  A new interchange at Weir Road and Interstate 40 is programmed to be constructed in the future. 

     The public is invited to visit anytime during the scheduled hours to view displays, ask questions and offer comments.
