AHTD TO HOLD PUBLIC INVOLVEMENT SESSION IN EL DORADO

LITTLE ROCK (10-7) – The Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) will hold a Public Involvement Session in El Dorado to discuss plans for improvements to Highway 167, according to AHTD officials.

The informal session will be held Tuesday, October 19, 2004, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the American Legion Post 10 Commanders Office, 105 Christian Drive, in El Dorado.

The project will improve a 3.2-mile section of Highway 167 in the city of El Dorado, extending from Highway 63 northward to Highway 167 North.  Plans call for adding two new lanes and six new bridges on Highway 167 in the city of El Dorado, making this a four-lane roadway.

The public is invited to visit anytime during the scheduled hours to view displays, ask questions and offer comments.
