The Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) will hold a Public Involvement Session in Hot Springs to discuss plans for improvements to Highway 128 (Carpenter Dam Road), according to AHTD officials.

    The informal session will be held Thursday, October 21, 2004, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Lakeside High School Cafeteria, 2837 Malvern Avenue, in Hot Springs.

     The project calls for constructing a 1.7-mile section of Highway 128 on new location.  The project would begin at the Ouachita River and extend northward.

     The public is invited to visit anytime during the scheduled hours to view displays, ask questions and offer comments.
