The Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) will hold a Public Involvement Session in West Memphis to discuss plans for improvements to Highway 70, according to AHTD officials.

    The informal session will be held Tuesday, October 26, 2004, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Neighborhood Center located at 1300 East Polk in West Memphis.

     The project calls for widening Highway 70 in the city of West Memphis to five lanes, extending from 14^th Street eastward to Highway 38.

     The public is invited to visit anytime during the scheduled hours to view displays, ask questions and offer comments.
