PUBLIC MEETING SCHEDULED IN PARAGOULD

LITTLE ROCK (11-18)     

    The Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department has scheduled an Open House Public Meeting for the Paragould Bypass Study.  This meeting will be held December 2, 2004 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Paragould Senior High School Cafeteria, 1701 West Court Street, Paragould, Arkansas.  This location is accessible to the disabled.

    This study was initiated in early 2004 by the Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department to update and verify a 1997 Paragould bypass study.  A Recommended Alternative for a bypass of Paragould, as well as the results of a study of traffic patterns in Paragould, will be presented at this meeting.

    The Public Meeting will afford those in attendance an opportunity to comment on the Recommended Alternative and the need for a bypass.  Representatives of the Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department, as well as the Consultant preparing the study, will be available to answer questions and receive comments.
