AHTD TO HOLD PUBLIC INVOLVEMENT SESSION IN MARIANNA


LITTLE ROCK (11-24)     

     The Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) will hold a Public Involvement Session in Marianna to discuss plans for improvements to Highway 1, according to AHTD officials.

    The informal session will be held Tuesday, December 7, 2004, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Lee Senior High School cafeteria, 523 Forest Avenue, in Marianna.

     Plans call for widening a 4.2-mile section of Highway 1 to four lanes, extending from just north of Marianna at Highway 243, northward to the Union Pacific railroad overpass. 

     The public is invited to visit anytime during the scheduled hours to view displays, ask questions and offer comments.
