MEETING SCHEDULED FOR

ALMA BYPASS FEASIBILITY STUDY

LITTLE ROCK (11-29) – The Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) has scheduled an Open House Public Meeting for the Alma Bypass Feasibility Study.  This meeting will be held December 9, 2004 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Alma High School, in the Student Union (cafeteria), 101 East Main Street, Alma, Arkansas.  This location is accessible to the disabled.

This study was initiated by the AHTD to determine the need for and feasibility of a bypass of the city of Alma.  The study will address traffic safety and circulation issues in Alma and the surrounding area, and determine feasible locations, if any, for a bypass of the city.

The Public Meeting will afford those in attendance an opportunity to comment on the need for a bypass, and to provide early input for the study.  Representatives of the AHTD, as well as the Consultant preparing the study, will be available to answer questions and receive comments.
