The Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) will hold a Public Hearing in Hindsville to discuss plans for improvements to Highway 412, according to AHTD officials.

    The informal session will be held Tuesday, December 14, 2004, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Hindsville Community Center & Fire Department, near the intersection of Highway 295 Spur and Highway 412, in Hindsville.

     Plans call for widening a 5.3 mile section of Highway 412 to four lanes extending from the Washington County line eastward to Highway 45.  A portion of the project is proposed to be on new location just west of existing Highway 412.  An adjoining project will widen an additional 7.3-mile section to four lanes extending eastward from Highway 45 to the Huntsville Bypass. 

     The public is invited to visit anytime during the scheduled hours to view displays, ask questions and offer comments.
