NEWS EVENT NOTIFICATION

WHO:                         Arkansas Highway Commissioner Carl Rosenbaum, AHTD Director Dan Flowers, Faulkner County Judge John Wayne Carter, Pulaski County Judge Buddy Villines, representatives of the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission, the Arkansas Military Department and the area Property Owners Association.

WHAT:                       A ceremonial sign unveiling and dedication of the Grassy Lake Bridge.

WHEN:                       Monday, December 6 at 10:30 am.

WHERE:                    The bridge is located off Highway 365 near the Faulkner/Pulaski County lines at the Bell Slough Wildlife Management Area.

                                    Travel I-40 from Little Rock to Morgan and take Highway 365 north toward Conway for seven miles OR travel to Mayflower and take Highway 365 south toward Little Rock for 2.1 miles. Turn east onto Grassy Lake Road which is marked with signs as the WMA Bell Slough.

WHY:                          The area is prone to flooding. The project to construct an elevated bridge was coorindated by AHTD, the Game and Fish Commission, Miltary Department, Faulkner County, Pulaski County and the Property Owners Association.
