MEETING SCHEDULED TO PRESENT STUDY FINDINGS ON JACKSONVILLE INTERCHANGE LITTLE ROCK (1-3) The Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) will hold a public meeting to present findings of a study conducted to determine needed improvements for the James Street interchange with Highway 67 in Jacksonville, according to AHTD officials. The informal meeting will be held Monday,
January 10, 2005, between 4:00 p.m. and 7:00
p.m., in rooms A and B of the Jacksonville Community Center, 5 Municipal Drive
in Jacksonville. The study was conducted at the request of the Mayor of Jacksonville and other local officials in Jacksonville who are concerned about the increasing traffic congestion being experienced by motorists and the safety of the existing James Street interchange. Interested citizens are encouraged to
attend the open house meeting and examine maps and aerial photographs that
display possible improvements. Planners
and engineers who conducted the study will be available during the meeting to
answer any questions about the conceptual recommendations.
