AHTD TO HOLD PUBLIC INVOLVEMENT SESSION IN LAKE VILLAGE

LITTLE ROCK (1-13)     

      The Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) will hold a Public Involvement Session in Lake Village to discuss plans for improvements to Highways 65 and 82, according to AHTD officials.

    The informal session will be held Thursday, February 3, 2005, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Lake Village Fire Station, 2017 Highway 65/82, in Lake Village.

     Plans call for widening 4.6 miles of Highway 65 in Lake Village to five lanes beginning at the Highway 65/82 intersection in Lake Village and extending southward to the Highway 65/82 intersection at Fairview.  Improvements include four travel lanes and a continuous left turn lane. Revisions to the cross section will also be shown at this meeting.

     The public is invited to visit anytime during the scheduled hours to view displays, ask questions and offer comments.
