LITTLE ROCK (2-11) – The Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) will hold a Public Involvement Session in DeQueen to discuss plans for improvements to Highway 71, according to AHTD officials.

    The informal session will be held Tuesday, February 22, 2005, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at First Assembly of God Church, 1440 W. Collin Raye Drive (Highway 70), in DeQueen.

     Plans call for widening a four-mile section of Highway 71 to four lanes, extending from DeQueen eastward to Red Wi ng.

     The public is invited to visit anytime during the scheduled hours to view displays, ask questions and offer comments.
