AHTD TO HOLD DESIGN PUBLIC HEARING IN POTTSVILLE


LITTLE ROCK (2-17)     

     The Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) will hold a Design Public Hearing in Pottsville to discuss plans for a new bypass southeast of Russellville, according to AHTD officials.

    The informal session will be held Tuesday, March 1, 2005, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Pottsville High School , 500 Apache Drive , in Pottsville .

     Plans call for a four lane, undivided bypass of Russellville to be located near Highway 247.  A portion of the bypass is proposed to be on new location west of Pottsville as it approaches its eastern terminus with Interstate 40.

     The public is invited to visit anytime during the scheduled hours to view displays, ask questions and offer comments.
