LITTLE ROCK (03-22) The Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) has scheduled an Open House Public Meeting for the West Memphis-Marion Area Railroad Overpass Study, according AHTD officials. 

     The meeting will be held on April 5, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Mid-South Community College , 2000 West Broadway in West Memphis .  The meeting will take place in Magruder Hall in Room 108.

     The study was recently begun by the AHTD to determine the need for and the feasibility of constructing railroad overpasses to enhance traffic flow and safety in the West Memphis-Marion area.  Maps will be available at the meeting showing the various highway/rail crossings in the area.

     The meeting will give the public the opportunity to comment on the need for railroad overpasses and to provide early input for the study.  Representatives of the AHTD as well as the consultant preparing the study will be available to answer questions and receive comments.
