Arkansas State Highway & Transportation Department officials have announced a nighttime closure of lanes on Higdon Ferry Road (Highway 88) and Central Ave nue (Highway 7) in Hot Springs .  Lane closures are needed to allow the installation of pipe that will cross underneath the roadways.

 Beginning at 11 p.m. on Thursday, March 31^st 2005 and ending by 7 a.m. the following morning, a section of Higdon Ferry Road will be restricted to one lane in each direction between Section Line Road and the driveway of Hot Springs Surgical Hospital .  Also during this time, Central Ave nu e will be restricted, leaving one lane open in each direction in the vicinity of the Highway 270 interchange.

 Work will be done as weather permits with possible inclement weather forcing the closure schedule to be revised.  Motorists may want to consider an alternate route and are advised to follow all roadway signage and speed limits.
