AHTD TO HOLD PUBLIC HEARING IN MONTICELLO

LITTLE ROCK (5-19)     

          The Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) will hold a Design Public Hearing in Monticello to discuss plans for a highway on new location north of Monticello , according to AHTD officials.

            The informal session will be held Thursday, May 26, 2005, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Monticello Economic Development Center , 211 W. Gaines, in Monticello.

Plans call for constructing a 1.5 mile highway on new location connecting Highway 35 West and Highway 425, and constructing a 1.2 mile highway on new location connecting Highway 425 and Highway 83.

The public is invited to visit anytime during the scheduled hours to view displays, ask questions and offer comments.
