LITTLE ROCK (5-20) The Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) has scheduled an Open House Public Meeting to present the findings of a study that addresses the need for improvements to Highway 82 in Stamps, according to AHTD officials.

     The informal session will be held Thursday, June 16, 2005, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the Stamps City Hall .

     The study was conducted at the request of the former mayor and other officials in Stamps who are concerned about the safety and the increasing traffic congestion of the present facility.

     The meeting will give citizens an opportunity to comment on potential improvements to Highway 82 in Stamps.  The public is invited to visit anytime during the scheduled hours to view displays and ask questions.  Representatives of the AHTD, as well as the consultant preparing the study, will be available at the meeting.
