BRIEF INTERSTATE CLOSURE SCHEDULED FOR I-630 NEAR MARSHALL STREET IN LITTLE ROCK

LITTLE ROCK (6-8)      

        Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) officials announced that utility crews will require a 15-minute closure of all eastbound and westbound lanes of Interstate 630 near Marshall Street on Sunday, June 12th for removal of an aerial utility cable.  Law enforcement personnel will assist with the closure, which is scheduled to begin at 6 a.m. and be complete by 6:15 a.m.  Motorists are encouraged to consider alternate routes if possible and follow all roadway signage and speed limits. 

          Details of planned lane closures of 4 hours or more may be found at the www.ArkansasHighways.com website.  After clicking on the “ROADS” button, a “ Daily Lane Closures” page lists continuous updates to current and upcoming lane closure locations and time frames.  The AHTD Public Affairs Office is available via phone at 501-569-2227 Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., to assist motorists with information.
