AHTD TO HOLD PUBLIC HEARING IN SHERIDAN


LITTLE ROCK (6-10)     

                 The Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) will hold a Location Public Hearing in Sheridan to discuss plans for the Highway 167 Bypass, according to AHTD officials.

            The informal session will be held Thursday, June 23, 2005, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Sheridan Junior High School , 500 N Street, in Sheridan.

Future plans call for upgrading Highway 167 in Sheridan either on present location or constructing a bypass around Sheridan .  Eastern and western bypass alternatives will be shown at the meeting.

The public is invited to visit anytime during the scheduled hours to view displays, ask questions and offer comments.
