A contractor for the Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) will require closure of the WESTBOUND I-40 on-ramp at the Mill Creek Interchange (Exit 78/Highway 64) just west of Russellville, according to AHTD officials.  Beginning on Monday, June 20^th at approximately 6:00 a.m., the WESTBOUND on-ramp to I-40 will be closed for up to three weeks while construction crews re-align the ramp.

Gilbert Central Corp., the general contractor for this $6 million project, is in the process of upgrading the partial Mill Creek interchange to a full interchange.  The project includes constructing a new westbound exit ramp, a new eastbound entrance ramp, and relocating the frontage road and a connector road at the northwest quadrant of the interchange.
